Obviously a key aspect of Flappy Bird is the pipes the bird flies through.

More correctly, the bird stays in the same x-position and the pipes scroll past.

A key decision in designing this game is whether to make the pipes random, or whether we'll hand-craft the position of each pipe.

Flappy Bird has a reputation for being an incredibly difficult game, and one of the key advantages of writing your own is that you can control the difficulty.

So we're not going to use random pipes -- we'll decide exactly where each one is.
